Content Guidelines

The Do's and The Don'ts

These Content Guidelines apply to all users of Fundraisher, including Athletes, Managers, Team Admins, and Partners. By using Fundraisher, you agree to follow these rules. Our goal is to create a positive, empowering, and respectful community.


WHAT TO SHARE

We encourage you to share:

  • Athletic Journey & Achievements: Milestones, records, championships, how you started

  • Training & Progress: Practice insights, skill development, dedication

  • Events & Schedules: Upcoming competitions, game results, relevant links

  • Goals & Aspirations: What you’re working toward in sports and beyond

  • Interests & Personality: Hobbies, passions, life outside sports

  • Financial Needs: Specific, itemized support needed (equipment, travel, training)

  • Gratitude: Thank you messages to family, coaches, teammates, sponsors

  • Partnership Info: Professional details for potential sponsors

  • Positive Engagement: Content that inspires, motivates, builds connections


WHAT NOT TO SHARE (PROHIBITED CONTENT)

The following content is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, account suspension, or permanent termination.
 

1. Illegal Content

Any content that promotes, depicts, or facilitates illegal activities, including but not limited to: drug use, underage drinking, theft, violence, or any activity that violates federal, state, or local laws.
 

2. Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that attacks, demeans, or promotes hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, nationality, or any other protected characteristic.
 

3. Harassment & Bullying

Content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, or intended to intimidate, shame, or degrade others. This includes cyberbullying, doxxing, and targeted harassment campaigns.
 

4. Violence & Graphic Content

Excessively violent content, gratuitous gore, depictions of self-harm, or content promoting harm to others. Competitive sports content is acceptable; glorification of violence is not.
 

5. Nudity & Sexually Explicit Content

Pornographic, sexually explicit, or suggestive content. Athletic photos (uniforms, swimwear, competition gear) are acceptable; sexual or suggestive poses are not.
 

6. Spam, Scams & Phishing

Unsolicited commercial content, fraudulent schemes, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick scams, or deceptive practices to obtain personal information.
 

7. Misinformation & False Claims

Knowingly false or misleading content, especially regarding athletic achievements, fundraising goals, personal identity, or medical/health claims. Honest mistakes are different from intentional deception.
 

8. Intellectual Property Infringement

Copyrighted material, trademarks, or other intellectual property used without proper authorization or licensing. This includes using others’ photos, videos, logos, or copyrighted music without permission.
 

9. Private & Confidential Information

Sharing others’ personal information without consent, including phone numbers, home addresses, private photos, or financial information.
 

10. Impersonation

Pretending to be another person, team, organization, or brand. Parody accounts must be clearly labeled as such.
 

11. Glorification of Harmful Behavior

Content that encourages or celebrates dangerous activities, substance abuse, eating disorders, or self-harm.
 

12. Off-Topic or Irrelevant Content

Content completely unrelated to your athletic journey, sports, or personal interests. Athlete Hubs should focus on athletic and personal content relevant to your supporter community.
 

CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS

Fundraisher reserves the right to:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines

  • Issue warnings to users

  • Temporarily suspend accounts

  • Permanently terminate accounts for repeated or severe violations

  • Report illegal content to law enforcement

DISCLAIMER

Fundraisher is not responsible for user-generated content on hubs. We review reported content and take appropriate action. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion. Your adherence to these guidelines helps us maintain a positive and supportive environment for everyone.
